Accessibility Statement
Pursuant to EU Directive 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act) — Last updated: 25 May 2025
1. Our Commitment to Accessibility
Elegant Cyprus Services is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards. Our goal is to achieve and maintain conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as required by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) — EU Directive 2019/882, transposed into Cypriot law.
2. Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to address known issues and improve overall conformance.
Our current accessibility implementation includes:
- Semantic HTML5 structure with appropriate heading hierarchy (H1–H6).
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios for text and interactive elements (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements, including navigation menus, forms and buttons.
- Descriptive
altattributes on all informative images. - Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements.
- Form labels programmatically associated with their controls.
- Language attribute set on the
<html>element, updated dynamically on language switch. - Responsive design supporting zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- No content that flashes more than three times per second (seizure prevention).
- ARIA landmarks and roles used where appropriate to aid screen reader navigation.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some areas of the website may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements. Known limitations include:
- Third-party content: some embedded third-party content (e.g., maps, social media links) may not fully conform to accessibility standards. We cannot control the accessibility of third-party services.
- Complex data tables: some comparison tables may not have full screen reader support for all header associations. We are working to improve this.
- PDF documents: any downloadable PDF documents may not be fully accessible. We are working to provide accessible alternatives.
- Video content: video content, if present, may not have full captions or audio descriptions. We will add these progressively.
